Product Description
The M7N mechanical seal supplied by Hong Teng is an aftermarket replacement for selected applications using an EagleBurgmann M7N-type single pusher mechanical seal configuration.
The M7N reference design is intended for plain shafts and uses a single, unbalanced arrangement with a rotating Super-Sinus spring. It is independent of the direction of rotation and is used across a broad range of process, chemical, water, wastewater, pulp and paper, marine and industrial pump applications.
Standard M7N reference sizes cover shaft diameters from 14 mm to 100 mm. Larger M74 and related variants should not automatically be treated as standard M7N seals, even when their general appearance is similar. Always confirm the exact seal reference and dimensions when replacing an existing unit.
The shaft diameter is only the first identification dimension. The installed working length, rotating face dimensions, stationary-seat profile, seat outside diameter, drive arrangement and elastomer configuration should also match the existing mechanical seal.

How to Confirm an M7N Replacement Mechanical Seal
Use the M7N reference and shaft diameter as the starting point, then compare the complete
rotating unit, stationary seat and installed dimensions before confirming the replacement.
01. Confirm the Seal Reference
Check whether the existing seal is standard M7N or a related variant such as M74,
M7F, M7S2 or another M7-series configuration.
02. Measure the Shaft & Working Length
Record the actual shaft diameter and installed working length.
Standard M7N reference sizes are 14–100 mm.
03. Identify the Stationary Seat
Measure the seat outside diameter, thickness and profile and confirm whether the
installation uses G9 or another compatible stationary-seat arrangement.
04. Confirm Materials & Service
Record the pumped medium, temperature, pressure, solids content and existing
seal-face and elastomer materials before choosing the replacement configuration.
M7N and M74 Are Related, but Not the Same Reference
Standard M7N covers shaft diameters from 14 to 100 mm and uses the Super-Sinus spring
reference design. EagleBurgmann also lists related variants such as M74, M74F, M74S2,
M7F, M7S2 and M78N. Some variants use multiple springs, drive keys, pumping screws or
different secondary-seal arrangements. Do not substitute one version solely because
the shaft diameter is similar.
